Hi, im a newbie aiming to build a bobber

Hi Guys,

Just picked up a 1978 XS400 2A2. Bought it and a whole load of spares of ebay for £190, which I think was a bit of a bargain!

Looking to do a bobber conversion but have a lot of work to get it running and legal first!

Is anyone on this forum from the UK? More specifically south west London?

First few jobs is to find some downpipes as the bike didnt come with any, has anybody got any good links?

The other thing that im a bit confused about is that although within the parts theres 6 sets od carbs, none of them have rubber diaphragms, should my carbs have them?

Welcome to the forum I think there are a few guys from your neck of the woods on here that would know some local parts places.
Yes your carbs should have rubber diaphragms in them. Any pics of what you got this could help a lot.

sounds like a hell of a deal. i had the same mentality, just been takin awhile.
on the picture side, photobucket.com is what i use. straightforward, and easy to use
