My 82 Seca starts and runs fine. Will shut off with the kill switch but not the ignition switch. Turning the key off while running makes the dash & head light brighter and has burned out the headlight bulb.
Any suggestions?

Anybody ever screwed around with the wiring? Sounds like the alt is backfeeding the lighting.

The obvious ignition switch is the answer if not. If the ignition stays running with key off but kill switch on then the red/white (B2) ignition wire is likely not severing correctly at key turned off.

Ok, it's a new ignition switch. The old one had the same problem. I don't see any weird splices on the wiring, but it's a barn find.
Thanks.
