is there anyone in the Midwest(Chicago land) that wouldn't mind me sending them my ignition unit to test in their bike. I'm told the only way to test it is on another bike. My coils are good plugs and wires all good as well. I only get spark on one side. Swapped coil wires and spark switches to other side of engine. I have an 80 xs400 special II. I guess it doesn't matter where you are if u can help make this a timely matter.
