I'm looking for the right hand switch assembly for an 81 XS400. I'm missing the starter button, which is proving to be quite the pain. Any help would be great!

Hi,
A couple of possibilities are:
Mike's XS sells a horn button that they say also works as a starter button for the 80-84 XS650's. It may be the same button for the 400's.
Another possibility is use a new switch setup from Mike's for a 650. I did that while adding the older style headlight switch to my 400. You will have to test switch function and set your connectors up to match the 400, but it's not hard with an ohm meter. Technically, adding the switch is not to Federal standards but as long as the light is on for inspections, I've never been called on it.
