Hello all at XS 400! I am now the proud new owner of a 1980 Special. While the cruiser style is not my style, everyone that has seen this bike says it's pretty. I'm not into pretty bikes, but this one was clean, low miles (6700) and it was only $450! I see the potential in this bike, hiding under all the (what I think is) ugly stuff.
So, yesterday and today, I started taking off all the junk I didn't like, and trying to figure out how to get it to where I want it to be. Just ordered some new bars for it, and I guess I need to figure out a seat, rear fender and tail light for it. I was told the ignition was upgraded to pointless, but have not took cover off to look yet.
