Hi everyone,
Just wondering if someone could look over this wiring diagram I created. I found the basic diagram here and added a bunch of stuff since I need lights, signals, and speedo/tach in Canada. Feel free to use it for your own projects!
As the diagram says, this is for a kickstart only 1982 XS400 SJ (SOHC) - Heritage Special.
I'll be using a small 2.6amp battery, a 4-fuse block, and upgrading to the EP34 LED flasher relay. I wanted to eliminate the stock electric start and switch, starter motor, starter relay, headlight relay, and flasher cancelling unit.
To go without the headlight relay (which has a sensor wire to the rectifier), I plan on using a universal handlebar switch (usually 9-10 wire). This way I can keep the lights off while I start the bike so it won't drain the battery. I have also grounded the EP34 LED relay as other posts have explained to eliminate the flasher cancelling unit.
