easiest thing to do is slide the fork tube up in in the triple trees... OR you can cut the spring down but then theres an issue if it ever fully extends itll have a hard drop... the next best thing is to put a spacer on the dampening rod. That will hold it low and not let it come up any higher.... this to may require chopping the springs.

I have seen on xs650, a kit that is composed of a spacer and that you have to cut the springs. There is a step by step.
But we can not assemble the kit for xs650?
shouldnt need a kit, just get a piece of PVC pipe and cut it to the length you want to drop, thatll act as your spacer. I think 3/4" will work, but I cant verify that right now.
