more electrical woes

so i rewired my stator and im now getting around 14.4v to the battery at around 3k revs..i bought a new battery too and charged it overnight, started awesome this morning so i took it for a quick 12 mile spin...when i get home i got a dead battery, i dont get it..any ideas ?

you must have a dead short somewhere, poss unrelated to the stator, usually a chaffed wire.
Or the battery is dud

so i started digging around and i took off the fuse block and found a complete horror show under there..PO had done a disaster rewire...just screwing wires together and taping them up..bullet connectors..there was an old inline fuse which just fell apart also, with the help of a six pack of longtrail harvest ale im gonna rewire it this afternoon
