I have an '82 XS400RJ SECA 6 speed. Can anybody tell me the RPM at 40,50,60,70 MPH while cruising in 6th gear on a level surface? Thanks. Phil

So how about some real world information.

What size is your rear wheel?

What size is your rear tire?

What size is the front sprocket?

What size is the rear sprocket?

Can't answer the question without these. Personally, a look down at the tach has always satisfied my curiosity.

All I know is I have a stock bike. I just ordered an electronic tach and was hoping to make some comparisons. Thanks anyway.

It varies based on many factors - I notice a huge difference almost 500 RPM based on the temperature outside in the morning.

That all being said my 1980 runs 60 at about 6K and 70 at about 6500 at 7000 I am usually at 7K but bike gets shakey any more than that.
