I'm trying to change my bolts over to hex head(Allen) bolts and I need to find out the sizes for two locations

Handle bar clamp bolts(the 4 bolts that clamp the bars to the triple tree)

Points cover screws(2 Philips head screws there now)

Anyone know the sizes or know of a parts diagram that will show it?

I don't mean to be a smart @ss, but what has always worked for me is removing the original bolt and taking it with me to the store. If you are ordering online, remove them and measure.

go find a thread pitch guage and have at it, this ain't rocket science those bolts are going to be standard metric pitch for there size

Also as a good rule of thumb, if you have a hole with no bolt, when i went up to yamaha uk for a new model and update course for work, one of the mechanics there said that "if you put a bolt in and from the edge of the case to the base of the allen head should be double the thickness of the bolt itself" So say a bolt is 8mm thick, it should be sticking out 16mm to be screwed in, that way no hitting a dead end and cracking a part/case or stripping a thread.
