Need troubleshooting help - xs400 dies after warm-up

I also got same bike 3 months ago so i would start idle for few seconds and dies i took it to a workshop they replaced spark plugs and spark caps they cleaned the carbs then they suggested that the cutting out issue needs an Auto electrician to find the problem, i looked for one he's currently busy with it, he suggested that it wasnt Charging because it's drains the battery right away, then he discovered that it's a charging problem, now I don't know if could be Ignition unit, or what?

Hello, I'm new to the forum today and have this exact issue. I will be performing all the checks and suggestions listed in this thread. Just wondering, did you ever end up finding the issue. Thank you amc49 for all the pointers. Can't wait to see if they help me narrow down my problem.
