New owner of a xs400

hey yall just got me a 1980 xs400 special, ive never had one but really wanted to make a cafe racer style bike... ive looked a several websites for parts and all the parts all seem to be made for a xs650... now im new so i dont know if there is a differnce on the 2.. but id like to know if xs650 parts could work for a xs400..
any help would be apperciated...

So the answer is yes and no. Depends on the part, and the year of the model. You cant swap the heads but you could swap the headlight... If you catch my meaning. Search the forum, ton of great info.
