Howdy folks,
I'm still trying to get my 1980 se us custom to start. Tried earlier and after trying took the pod filters off to see if any residual fuel was visible and noticed the starter jet was wet with fuel. Is this normal? Any advice on jetting would be appreciated aswell,
I've got pod filters on and a motad exhaust, currently have a 50 starter jet, 45 pilot and 45 main and 5.5 turns on the air screw.
The plugs are sparking and brand new but maybe a weak spark?
After trying to fire up the plugs do have a small amount of fuel on them but not soaked and getting the occasional pop out of the exhaust.
Any ideas? I'm pretty sure ive got everything covered but it refuses to start.
I'm thinking of trying to bump start it next.:wtf:

I assume you mean 145 mains.

5.5 turns is quiet a lot, back it off 2.5 you may be flooding it now (its a fuel mix screw not an air)

try starting with the en-richer off.

still no joy?

heat up the plug, it vaporizes the fuel and ignites it easier.
