yes, but the intakes may be different as I have never done this conversion

Are you referring to the intake manifolds?
They are the same only difference with a 360 and 400 top end is its engine size (391cc-358cc) and the the 360 has a 9.6:1 head and the 400 has a 9.2:1-9.4:1 head (they very from years) A stock xs360 make the same hp as a stock xs400 and most likely more than the later ones with all the emissions controls they had.
It would raise the compression up wouldnt?That might be a good thing as long as it wont demand higher octain gasoline.
