I am currently converting my 81xs400 sohc from electronic to points ignition.
I bought parts from a member of the forum and I think they are off a 79 or something thereabouts. The parts are all good and since they came off the same bike , I am glad, as they are a working unit.
The only holdup now is that the bolt that holds the points/advance plate in place is shorter than tho electronic system bolt.
Has anyone done this reverse jump in technology?
Any tips or pitfalls to look for?
