rebuilt master cylinder, now brakes work but drag

Rebuilt the master cylinder last night and bled the system (which took forever) with my new to me caliper which seems to be in really good shape and the brake works but isn't very strong and drags like crazy to the point where it smoked after ten minutes of riding it in my yard. It also makes it really hard to push around. Anyone have any ideas before I tear this apart again tonight.

Did you check to make sure the piston moves freely both in and out of the caliper to its full travel? Mine had a line of corrosion around it right where the piston met the caliper and sat for years. Mine did the same things yours is doing. I polished that off that corrosion ring with 400 through 800 grit wet sandpaper, and then it worked great.

It pushed in ok with the C clamp on it and seemed to move out fine once I bleed it but I can check again
