I have a restored seat from my 1977D. I have reassembled it from 3 seperate seats, taking the best parts and putting them together. It is the second one I have done now.The rear decal is crooked, the painted stripes on the tail section are similar in theme, but not exact. I have replaced the seat cover, complete with strap and it looks really good. I have opted out of using this seat as I had to refit things to go with the 1980 tank. I was unable to find a 77 tank that I could afford and the altered mounting moves things back a few inches and the disparity of the fit bothers me. I hate to get rid of this seat because I retained all the parts to restore this bike when I get the right tank, but a new seat that fits will cost money.
