I found a Yamaha xs400 special-II
at my local scrapyard and it had compression and didn't look too bad and had no idea what it was until i looked for the displacement and searched up 80s Yamaha 400cc twin and i saw the xs400 on Google so i confirmed it was a xs400 so i got it home and I tried to get it running and obviously the battery was dead so i went to my local shop picked up a few things for the bike got back home put the new battery in and the starter didn't work anymore (i put a jumper on it to see if the electricals where fried and hit the starter button and it worked when i first brought it home) but everything else still worked and then i tried to kick it over and there wasn't any compression and looked under the motor and it was leaking oil
and now i don't know what to do if anyone can please help me. (ps i know its a special-II because one of the side panels that where painted over had it underneath it)
