Im going back together with a top end rebuild, new pistons rings gaskets plugs. But when I tork the rocker box on and kick it over theres a loud knock, ive adjusted the vaulves several times and the knock persists. It knocks right before the left cylnder exughst stroke, but i cant determin if the knock is on either side. Im stumped, please help:confused:

Thanks drewpy! That solved that problem. Now I have another... I got the bike to idle, but when I rev it up the rpms dont come down like it should, it stays at about 3000,3500 rpm for about 4-5 seconds then drops back down to idle, ive adjusted the idle mixture screws and synced the carbs best I could. It seems like its getting to much gas, but I cant figure it out. Any ideas? Thanks!

Did you use a manometer to sync them? What type of air filters are you using?

You can make one for cheap. There are videos on the net and threads in the forum for this. Trust me a bench sync won't do it:)
