hello all,
I am new here and appreciate your help. I recently was given a 1981 xs400s. I cleaned the carbs and replaced the float needles since the rubber seals had fallen apart. The bike idles and runs great. in lower gears i can hold it at any RPM without surging or "cutting out" and hammer the throttle with no hesitation as well. my problem is when im hitting highway speeds i can feel the bike surge when i open the throttle up. i cant hear if its cutting out because of the wind. its not horrible surging but its there. i would think if its not doing it at any RPM when i can hear at lower speeds, it wouldn't be doing it at high speeds. thanks for the help again
