some one please help me with these carbs

The stock carbs. Using the wrong metered needle jet and needle will make the bike run poorly. There was another member with wrong ones in his carbs and once he put in the proper jets it work perfect.

for my xs400 carbs or the single carb setup, cause my single carb setup has that exact one in the single carb but not sure about the others i willpull them aart lateron and double check

The xs400 dual carbs will have issues with the wrong ones. I wont get into the single carb thing:wink2:

270 Y-O should be the number on it. Three sets of holes and spaced like the pic I have. Yours are spaced different and look to have four sets of holes.

oh ok lol sorry those internals are from the xs750 car5b i pulled my xs400 carbs apart and the needle jet has 3 holes in a row up the side of it in 4 seperate lines around the tube

so i think i found the issue i am running oem 135 jets in the carbs and i was trying to use pod filters and a open exhaust lol so i got a set of jets and do you think a 150 jet is to big

I don't run open exhaust so I can help you there but if your plugs are wet with you currant setup I don't think larger mains will help. Usually a 142.5-145 main is large enough for most apps. but that is only for 3/4-full throttle running.

so i found the issue this whole time carbs wer not the issue i had a cracked poit that was previously jb welded and wasnt breaking contact so all is good to go now, just need to fine tune the machine and be down the road

Why would someone use jb-weld to keep points together:confused: Get a new set for it:wink2:
