Start issues

Hey there thanks for adding me on here I just picked up a 79 sx400 special.. bit of a basket case lol but getting it together.. on that note was wondering if I have spark and fuel why won’t the bike start ??

took me an age to fire mine up after a long lay off. Sprayed some fuel straight into the carb intakes a couple of times and it finally coughed into life. No problems since.
