Hi all,

I'm tearing my carbs down and i cannot get the diaphragms out of the carb body. They both move a little and then stop dead, like something is holding them from coming out any further, Both diaphragms seem the same, so I'm wondering if I just forgot the same thing on both carbs?
Help!

Post some pics of them. Usually stuck slides need some cleaner or penetrating oil on the to get them loose. Just don't get any of it on the rubber diaphragms. It can and will damage them.

@xschris were having trouble “displacing” the pivot arms. But we’re really having trouble getting the diaphragms out. They’re only budging slightly.

First off your diaphragms are shot as they look to be torn. Have you taken off the bottoms to make sure the slide needles are not stuck in the needle jets? Does the metal slide move? Or just the plastic diaphragm ring. Post more pics of those carbs especially the pilot mix screws and area where they seat. When ever I see screws that have had the limiting caps removed and screwed down as far as yours are they are almost always broken off in the bodies.
