Hi Guys

I replace my engine oil once a year on my XS 400 DOHC.
I run between 4000 and 6000 km per year.
I use Castrol Power 1 racing 4-T 10W50, Syntetic engine oil for MC.

I think it's OK, works fine no significant oil consumption, of cause I'm aware of the service manual says 3000 km. But that was calculated with the old mineral oil in 1983.

Comments and experiences please!

Longing for spring.

I would say you are ok with that.
service intervals on new bikes are increasing every year. advances in oil and metallurgy/machining ontribute to this. modern bikes rev up to 12k revs now

I give mine a feel and look at what deposits are floating in the oil (very little usually)

grey oil I would change
