The sub $500 daily rider build

Picked up this 81 by trading a clapped out Bultaco Alpina that was locked up, only paid $50 for the the Alpina, I have a total of $337 in it, that includes new tires and everything. Lots of trading, wheeling and dealing. Put pods on it, PO had the wide open pipes on it, it'll hit 78 mph, with the minor jetting I did, going to add taller shocks in the rear and a 17 tooth sprocket up front to make it a bit happier on the highway. Older 360 tank was adapted, the rear fender will be going soon, then I'll sell it!

Sorry to see that you will be selling it. Looks good. The tank looks to be a xs500 tank because of the dual petcocks.

You are correct xs500 tank! I wish I could've found the rest of that bike!dont be sorry about selling it, I like to give them a new life this was just sitting and getting worse by the day. I'll rescue another when I sell this one
