Hey Fubar

I bought avon road ryders for my 78 xs400 they are 90/90/18 on front and 100/90/18 on back. I have the alloy rims. The picture I've attached isn't my bike but when I searched google the picture came up. I haven't mounted them yet because I'm still early in my build but I paid less the a hundred each I think at a place called zdenos in kitchener ontario. But I think they are affordable and read decent reviews.

Hope that helps

Shaun

Kenda Challengers...awesome tire, read the reviews. $100 shipped for a pair from Chapparal racing...

Fubar I just got a tubles Pirelli City Demon 120/90-16 Rear, I havent done a heap of km but it feels great $100 AUD

Now to hijack thread (just kidding Fubar)

I want to run some "Balloon" type tyres on my 1980 model (higher aspect ratio) any one have any luck with theirs? Like the Harley Forty-Eight run. The Harley run 130/90B16 front and 150/80B16 rear

On the '79 I just got for a Winter restore project, I'm going to use Kenda Challenger K657: 90/90x18F and 110/90x18 rear. The bike has mag wheels but pre-tubeless certification so I will use tubes.

I put IRC brand 100/90x18F and 120/90x16R on my '80 with tubeless rims. Those sizes were on the bike when I got it. The 100/90 is a size up on the front but the 120/90 is the size recommended for the rear on U.S. spec '80 & '81 bikes. My son's '81 came with a 130/90 on the rear - Dunlop 404. No clearance problems on his bike.
