I finally got my 81 XS400HS project bike 90% complete with the exception of tuning and the turn signals acting up. With the bike running only the rear turn signals turn on with the blinker switch but they don't blink, just a solid light. They had worked correctly briefly but now only solid lights in the rear.
I took the gas tank off to adjust the carbs and I noticed the right side spark plug wire arcing and grounding out against the frame so I have new wires coming to correct that. Could the grounding out to the frame have shorted out and destroyed the flasher or should I be looking elsewhere for the problem?
