Using later exhaust gaskets?

Pretty simple question, after ordering xs400 exhaust gaskets from mikesxs (http://www.mikesxs.net/product/43-1875.html) I found out that they are for the later models I believe DOHC's (i.e. seca, maxims, ect.). I would just like to know if they can be used in my 1980 SOHC special II instead of the normal copper ones. Thanks in advance

I dont think so.The xs400 exaust uses the 2 piece gasket collar.It doesnt look even close to the pic your posted.If memory serves me correctly somebody else asked.I beleive they are not compatible since the down tubes from the xs650 are different.Can you do an exchange or get an instore credit?If not there is an xs750 site maybe you can advertise them on our site or theirs.

My bike uses both the split collar (#5) and a gasket (#4) in my bike it's normally made of copper but in this case I bought a gasket for the maxim/seca xs400 (not 650) and it has a different design. If they're the right OD/ID I see no issues runnin' them. In fact I think my new gasket kit came with those exact gaskets
