Valve Spring Collar Issue

Hey All - I am trying to remove the valve springs from the head and seem to have run into a stubborn one. I cranked on the valve spring compressor quite a bit nut still not able to dig out the collar nor have them pop out (like the rest have).

Any ideas as to how to get this little bugger out of there? I tried gently hitting the top of the spring with a pipe (that fit just around the valve) and a hammer to loosen it up. This seemed to help the others since they popped right out, but not this one.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the reply. That is a big help! I should have known to just crack one open and give it another try.

Good one Willem, it gave me a good laugh. I just printed it and hung it in my garage.
