Going with an XS650 front end, just got the wheel today ... looking like around 18mm (0.75") difference in the length of the steering stem, with the 650 being longer. Is there any certain way folks have been dealing with this? Lots of options .. swapping the stem, shortening the stem, etc. Bearings aren't an issue, already have new tapered roller bearings waiting to go in, just wondered whether anyone had a simple approach ... using the old bearings as spacers, something like that.
