XS 400 12e (DOHC)

Hi,
my name is Wolf and I just bougt a 87' XS 400. She is my first twin. Before I had a single cylinder Suzuki GN 250 so this is an upgrade by all means.
I hav a lot of questions but for the start I only need to know what kind of oil she needs. I guess a mineralic oil and no syntetic?

I haven't had the chance to do a oil change yet (it's on my to-do list for this week) but what I've seen recommended is Shell Rotella T4 15w-40 oil. My understanding is that this is the oil the community uses most, and helps prevent slipping in the clutch. As for filters, there's a few that fit. The one I remember off the top of my head is FRAM CH6003.

Also quite a few guys riding older bikes swear by synthetic, it does seem to be preference though. Oil change interval is 2k miles on these bikes.
