XS 400 issues new owner

there is currently no compnies making aftermarket cafe seats for the xs400. try messing around with your seat pan original pan, new foam and a cowel on the back might work

I took the bike in to get a new front tire and they said it probably just needs the carbs synched. I am going to have them do that this week as i do not have a tool. Spent all weekend painting it.

For future reference, it is easy to make your own syncing tool out of some tubing, a stick, and a bright colored fluid. It should be in the tech section.

What kind of gas mileage or trip distance should I expect to get on my 81 xs? Not very confident in my petcock and don't want to rely on the reserve. Also.. finished painting, front fender isn't on in this picture but here she is.
