I'm working on designing the rewire for my 1981 XS400SE (4G5).

I plan to use an RR38 regulator/rectifier and a simplified design for the wiring.

I'm hoping this will eventually be an easy to follow diagram for any of you contemplating carrying out a rewire
Can anybody point out any places I'm going wrong/ give me some pointers before I dive too deep into this?
I'm not sure I've got the reg/rec wired up correctly, what am I supposed to do with the black and brown wires?

I've also attached the original wiring diagram for reference.

Thanks

That's a lot of fuses for a simplified system.

Starter motor shouldn't be fused.
Black field coil wire goes to ground.
Kill switch should kill ignition system, not starter.
The stock setup has the starter button after the start relay, grounding it when pressed.

the condensor is basically 2 condensors in 1, each should go to a L/R coil and each one fed from the L or R contact side accordingly

Just want to double check that this isn't going to blow anything up?

Seems ok. Run the starter motor wire like stock, as short as possible and without any connections other than to the starter solenoid.
