Does anyone know what stock mirrors came on the 1980 XS400, on my bike I have chrome ones that have the Yamaha emblem on them. Also why is the left side higher then the right? Any thoughts?
I picked up a low profile aftermarket mirror that mounts around the handle bar and tightens down to hold in place. If I put it inside the left grip, it prevents the clutch lever from fully compressing. The mirrors mounting hole will not fit over the hand grip end.... perhaps I need to extend...
Is it? Or did the PO just put locktite on it to vex me? I just can't get it to budge lefty loosey (or righty tighty, for that matter, but if I knew for sure which way to crank it, I'm sure I could get it off...)
1983 DOHC Maxim, if it matters.
