The PO of my 1982 XS 400 Seca did something to the tach and completely destroyed it. I'll be upgrading, and I'll give away any/all of these parts for free if you pay shipping. The case is faded but perfectly fine. The speedo works, but it looks difficult to remove from the housing in one piece...
Back with another question for my XS400g cafe racer, I would like to remake my instrument cluster to be slimmer with an Arduino. My question is, whats the ratio for the cables going to the mechanical Tach and Speedo?
I bought a project xs360 a few months ago and the speedometer was included, but not installed on the bike. I'm not sure if it works, or if there is a way to test it(bike is in tear down status).
If interested or have any questions about it let me know. Offers welcome.
Hey team,
Riding my 81 xs400 last night and my speedo back light doesn't light up however my tach does. Any ideas? Fuse? My high beam is dead too, any correlation?
Thanks Team.
Not my week, apparently.
A few days ago I took apart the speedometer and cleaned and lubed it to keep the needle from bouncing. Worked great. Today, the needle broke off.
What are my options for speedo replacement? MikesXS has a few. Do the 650 speedometers work on 400?
