81 floats

Howdy, I recently took apart my carbs (mikuni kogyo) for a 81 xs400 to clean and found one of the floats were filled with liquid. I'm having a hard time finding floats for an 81 to replace it, and was wondering if a 79 or 82 float would fit? As those are the only floats I've been able to find. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

All sohc xs400 floats will work. 80-84 xs650 floats will also work. You can also use the foam style floats often used in some 81-82 sohc bikes also the 82-84 dohc ones. Just set the float height to 22mm instaed of 26mm.
