Hi all,

I'm about to order an Inline Fuel filter off ebay, there seem to be a few different types:

Now here is a photo of my fuel line:

Has anybody tried to 90° one? I feel like I don't have a lot of hose length and that the 90° might benefit me..

Also they come in different sizes, I want the 1/4" one correct?

Thanks!

Yes definately 1/4". A 90 degree one would work fine if you find one small enough. I did have one on but was too large a diameter and sat too close to to the engine. Ended up just getting a small straight in line filter.

Wow, the prices are high buying on-line. I paid less than $3 for the first one from the local independent motorcycle accessory and parts shop.
There would be no problem using that 90 degree one, might be easier to install too. It wasn't available from the shop at the time and since Petei had used the straight one I did too. The trick is to remove a section equal to the length of the filter so the total length doesn't change after it's all hooked up - and, to NOT cut it in the middle. The 2 photos show mine. By cutting between the 1/4 and 1/3 point, it is easy to make a 90 degree arc with the long portion.

If your line has any fraying at the ends, shorten the line by cutting 1/2 the length of the filter off each end to give yourself fresh ends, then cut the line at the 1/4 point to insert the filter.

Great thanks for the input guys.

Yeah I'll swing by the motorcycle store tomorrow and see if they have one, if not I'll just have to order it online.. I did see them online for cheap ($3 or so) but they're US sites so they charge something like $30 in shipping.

I'll post pics once I've installed it :)
