Battery question!

Hi guys,

Quick question....is it possible to use a 12n7-4a battery instead of the advised 12n12-4a battery for a 1980xs?

You will need a 12ah battery to be able to use your electric starter. If you don't use that you should be ok. I have a 1.3ah in my 80 but I also use led lights and smaller watt bulbs.

Thanks! I mainly just use the kickstart anyway. So I can start filling the acid in this battey and job done!
