Nice find MrYeats. I enjoyed reading that. I don't agree with all of the information provided, but in general it was accurate.
I have to point out that the carbs described in this PDF are NOT CV carbs. This will cause confusion for those not familiar with the differences. For example, the idle/pilot circuit described uses the screw to control air, and turning it out will lean the idle. In our CV carbs, the pilot screw controls a mixture of air and fuel, and turning it out will enrichen the idle. Exactly opposite operation.
I'd highly recommend that those unfamiliar with carbs, or those not interested in learning about different types of carbs, do NOT read this PDF. It will only confuse and frustrate you when you go to work on your XS400.
