Hey everybody,
I am using small 3Ah battery on my XS400, which is completely OK when the bike is warm, or during summer weather. But i have issues to start the bike in colder weathers, or after longer stay. So i used to hook up external car battery with aligator clamps to start, disconnect and go.
Now i am upgrading my gear to portable jum starter, something like this:
These jump starters use EC5 connectors to connect starter cables:
My idea is to cut that starter cable behing aligator clamps, and solder in some other male connector. Than wire up female connector of the same kind from my motorcycle to some place. to be able just to connect jumpstarter, start, disconnect and run.
QUESTION:
What do you think, what will be the best connector type to permanently wire up, so it will not burn with amperage that is needed to start. EC5 should be good, but there is no cover for them, so no protection against water and othe accidents.
thx for every input
