Chain--1980 XS400SG

Afternoon,

Changed brake pads, caliper sticking (another issue).. And chain suddenly loose. Literally just tightened not a month ago and noticed/heard within an hour span of pad change. Question: why would chain be so loose, and what would the slider/guide even look like originally?

That chain is shot. Replace it and both sprockets. Then invest in a some chain lube. Use the lube every 500km or 300 miles, or after riding in the rain.

Or use crappy seals on that side. Instant auto-oiling system for the chain!
