Charging problems any tips

Having charging problems any tips the batteries not being charged while the its running

I tried testing the electrical it says its getting voltage but the batteries not getting a charge

When the bike is at 3000 rpm the voltage at the terminal should be at least 14 volts. If at 14 and battery not charging, have the battery tested at an auto parts store.

Ok and the battery goes dead if I leave the key on for more than 5 minutes wgen the bikes not running is this normal

Nope. Battery should last much longer...

Bad battery. May be other problems too, but certainly a bad battery.

Ok I bought a new battery and the electric start drains the battery really fast is this normal

How long does it take you to start the bike? If everything is even close to up to snuff, it shouldn't take more than one - three pushes on the starter button. Did you charge your new battery fully before you put it in the bike?

I charged it fully and the starter drained the battery in a couple pushes on the starter button
