the emulsion tubes in my bs32 carbs i think need to be removed and either replaced or cleaned really good. by emulsion tubes, i mean hte part the main jet threads into. i cannot figure out how to remove them. are they pressed in? do they punch out? there are no provisions for screwdrivers, only a small notch on one side, like maybe a pick would be used to spin it out, but no luck there yet.

anyone removed them before?

take out the diaprams.
whip off the float bowl
undo the mains screw
the emulsion tube with just fall or a slight tap and it will fall out through the diaphram area!
