Installing Cam Chain Guides...

I am having some trouble re-installing the two guides. First time trying, so I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.
Starting with the front guide, I don't know if I am getting it in the bottom seat or not. I can either drop it in and have the lateral bar on the top catch in its saddle, or try to aim for the bottom seat but if I do that I cant seem to get the top flush and into it's saddle...
Is there a trick to this?

I took the cam and sprocket back out, pulled the chain to the side and inspected how the blade fit in. Turns out it is easier than I predicted to land it in it's saddle. Reassembled!
