I have a 1983 xs400 maxim and I need help with the jets I no longer have the air box and I have uni filters on it I still have stock exhaust on it. My question is what size jets should I have now? Any help would be great!
You will need the jets that your bike needs. You will have to do the testing to determine what that will be. As a starting point, match the main jets to the larger stock size, 127.5 and begin your testing and tuning. If you just want a quick solution, with no thought or effort, 132.5 main jets are stock in the German(European) bikes. Probably won't be right, but might be close.
If you do a search here, you will find many posts about jetting. I've shared a link to a site that offers detailed instructions on how to test and tune our carbs.
