Hey whats up everyone?! Well I am new to the site and new to owning a XS400! I just picked up a 1983. It has just under 5,000 miles on it, new tires, new aftermarket mirrors, had the carbs tuned and oil was just changed. It came with gloves, riding jacket and a helmet.

The guy I bought it from had it a year but only used it for like 6 months, he got it from a friend who's grandfather had purchased the bike new as a second bike but never road it. No oil leaks, needs new front pads, I just oiled the chain it was bone dry and did a brake oil change it was black. The guy I got the bike from painted it with a color changing paint so it is purple or blue when the light hits it I guess it used to be red.

There are other colours? . Besides red?

Yeah not thrilled with the paint job. But the bike is sound. I will deal with the paint in the winter! lol
