I have a 78 xs400e that i converted to one carb. I just cleaned the carb and put if back on. Carb is stock bs34. When I turn my petcock to prime there is no fuel flow down the hose into the carb. Petcock works fine and drains when disconnected from the carb. Is there an airlock in my carb somewhere? What should I check for?

EDIT: I resolved the problem by disconnecting the hoses and draining the air out of the fuel filter. Is there an air vent On My carb so I can do this more easily in the future? It seems my factory petcock doesn't allow air flow back into the tank.

Check the float needle. Its likely stuck in the closed position, or your float is keeping it stuck closed

Make sure your tank cap is venting this also could be your problem.
