I'm trying to replace the vac operated petcock on my 18 XS250 with a mechanical one from a 77 Yamaha IT250 all is fine apart from getting a new seal to the fuel tank. The seal is oval with two bars across it. The seal for teh IT250 does not seem to be readily available but this seal seems to be commonly used on other petcocks such as the DR50 part no 4X8-24512-00, so my question is are they the same as the RD50 or those used on other models? CMS and Yambits do not list the seal or let me search without the model code prefix so i am hoping somebody on the forum might know.
