The stock rear-shock mounts on the frame are offset from the tube about 3/5 of the way away from the bike. If I were to mount my new tabs on either side of the frame it would put the top and bottom mounts about 1cm out from each other. Even though it doesn't mean a tonne in the grand scheme of the rear suspension geometry I don't like the idea of putting the rubber bushings through that much torsion.

I have a set of Type A Chop Source mounting tabs but they're too short to get a really nice weld on them. Right now the plan is just to get some longer tabs watercut and mount them about tangent with the tube, but this will cause the 1cm difference. Anyone done one of these relocations and faced the same issue? Any thoughts on what I can do?
