So I was joining my cases and had my torque wrench set to 16 ft pd. First two M8 bolts torqued up nicely, the 3rd was taking longer than it should and BANG, the bolt broke.
I successfully extracted the broken bolt and ran a tap down the hole which removed lots of metal filings. Not good. So I'll probably have to insert a thread...
But can anyone confirm the correct torque settings?? My nobrains, i mean Haynes, manual states 16 ft pd, but not sure I trust it....
